On 1 January I will be starting as the Velge Chair in European Values at the University of Antwerp. Looking forward to it!
I will also remain connected to the University of Leuven for the project on male survivors of conflict-related sexual violence in Bosnia and Croatia. Leuven, my alma mater, is financing the project. All good news after a long time of precarity and small percentage and short term positions.

![]() Next week I will be in San Francisco, speaking about the interactions between the EU's politics of memory and the politics of memory in Serbia and Croatia at the workshop on the legal governance of historical memory in comparative perspective at Berkeley, organised by Ulad Belavusau. https://www.law.berkeley.edu/event/csls-workshop-legal-governance-of-historical-memory-in-comparative-perspective/ The day after, it's ISA2018 time, where I will be talking about male survivors of conflict-related sexual violence in Bosnia-Herzegovina, in a panel with Henri Myrttinen, Paula Drumond, Philipp Schulz, Chloe Lewis and Lewis Turner. Our discussant is Koen Slootmaeckers. Come and listen it will be good! ![]() Is there a European memory? And if so, how shared moral and political attitudes towards the past relate to the process of EU Integration? These will be some of the questions addressed by this seminar. Ana Milosevic will argue that as a result of the process of European Integration, we can observe the emergence of a shared European past in political discourse and institutional practices, transcending national forms of memory. She will explore the ways in which the process of Europeanization is affecting the politics of memory in Croatia, an EU member state, and Serbia, a candidate country. Seminar will be moderated by Dr. Heleen Touquet (KU Leuven) and Davide Denti ( University of Trento); followed by a presentation of French artist Edith Bories who explores architectural and symbolic meanings attached the communist monuments of the former Yugoslavia. Due to the limited capacity of the venue, we kindly ask you to express your interest in attending this event before 14 June 2017. On Thursday April 23 I am hosting Dr. Nena Mocnik who will give a workshop on theatre-based methodologies for working with vulnerable groups. We will record parts of the event and post them here.
